The PicoWay laser (link) is an innovative picosecond laser that is used with confidence in esthetic medicine. It effectively removes multi-colored tattoos and pigment formations on all skin types and performs laser rejuvenation procedures. The PicoWay laser operates on the basis of ultra-short picosecond pulses, which successfully leads to the disintegration of tattoo ink or pigmentation into small particles.
Advantages for patients:
The results are evident after just 1 procedure. The procedure takes no more than 10 minutes and does not injure the skin. You can get rid of tattoos of any color and type. The pigment is destroyed without heating. The procedure is absolutely painless and does not entail a recovery period. The procedure is suitable for all skin types and can be performed at any time, even in the summer.
Effectiveness:
Complete tattoo removal in 2-6 procedures. The shortest and most powerful impulse safely removes tattoos of any color and shade without burns or scars. Reducing the appearance of scars and improving skin quality when removing tattoos. Laser rejuvenation and scar treatment without a recovery period, comparable to ablative lasers. FDA and CE approved
Why choose PicoWay picosecond laser
- Quick procedures.
- No rehabilitation.
- High efficiency.
- Proven results
Why are PicoWay technologies better than Q-Switch?
Scientists recognize that the shorter the pulse duration, the higher the effectiveness of converting laser energy into mechanical energy, which is necessary to break particles into small fragments. The smaller the fragment is, the easier it is for the organism to successfully remove it from the body. Q-Switch technology requires multiple treatment sessions, causes significant discomfort during treatment and, in many cases, does not completely remove tattoos and pigmented lesions. Picosecond technology has ultra-short pulse durations 1000 times faster than Q-Switch lasers and one trillion times faster than a second. PicoWay is the best answer for those doctors who are looking to effectively remove tattoos and more complex pigmented formations.
Compare how the PicoWay picosecond laser wavelength (785 nm) eliminates the green pigment as opposed to 585 nm, 650 nm and 755 nm wavelengths:
- Before exposure to 785 nm, 585 nm, 650 nm and 755 nm,
- Absorption of green and blue tattoo pigments, as well as melanin.
- Why was the 730 nm wavelength chosen for PicoWay?
- The most effective wavelength for removing blue and green pigment.
- The highest peak power. The shortest pulse duration.
Contraindications for the procedure:
- Pregnancy.
- Epilepsy.
- Wounds in the healing stage in the area of the procedure.
- Systemic or local skin diseases.
- Taking anticoagulants and drugs that increase sensitivity to light.
- Systemic autoimmune diseases.
- Skin cancer or similar suspicious growths.
- Tanning and skin inflammation.
- Taking gold-containing drugs.

Maintain a break between sessions of 1-1.5 months.
Typically, patients rate their sensations at 6 points out of 10. Thanks to the fast operation of the laser, the procedure takes only a couple of minutes. It should be pointed out that the sensations depend on the level of each patient’s pain threshold.
The entire course lasts from 2 to 10 sessions.
There will be swelling at the treatment site and some minor bleeding may occur for a short time.
The Remover acts aggressively, like an acid. There is a risk of burns and scars. Lasers are much safer.
Some tattoos can leave a mark. It depends on the peculiarities of every person’s organism.
No. The Picoway laser does not damage the epidermis and does not heat the skin.
Redness, swelling and itching are normal skin reactions to the procedure.
The procedure is effective if the patient has fair skin and a dark tattoo. Darker skin tones may require more treatments.
The number of sessions and processing time. The larger and more complicated the tattoo is (in terms of color, size and design), the more sessions will be required, and, therefore, the higher the cost of the entire procedure will be.
This is how pigment destruction manifests itself. Later it is eliminated through the lymph, but in the first hours and even days after treatment, the tattoo may become brighter – this is normal.
This is the result of the laser treatment. The hairs may lose their pigment and become lighter, but as the old hairs are replaced with new ones, the eyebrows will regain their original shade.
